St. Patrick's Day Activity Plan for 20 Month Old
- Shamrock Art Charms
- Lucky Shamrock Soup
- Edible St. Patrick's Day Sensory Bin
- Shamrock Counting and Sorting
- Muffin Frosting with Cool Whip
Shamrock Art Charms: First we finger painted paper plates, then colored and used shamrock stickers on green construction paper. We trimmed the edges of the plates and cut the construction paper into shamrocks -- then attached them together with green ribbon.
Lucky Shamrock Soup: We took glitter shamrocks and mixed them with water and green food coloring. Be sure to give your toddler a lot of different containers and utensil options! This turns into a great fine motor activity.
Edible St. Patrick's Day Sensory Bin: We made this with green Cool Whip and Lucky Charms.
Shamrock Sorting and Counting: We took paper plates and wrote the numbers 1-5 on them, and we counted the glitter foam shamrocks. This was his favorite activity -- we played with these for hours! We even ended up hiding them and having a Shamrock hunt!
Frosting and Tasting Green Muffins: We made chocolate chip muffins with green food coloring and we frosted them with green Cool Whip. They were so yummy, and a huge hit!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Get MESSY and have so much FUN!
